How the attendance calculator works

Current attendance % = (classes attended ÷ total classes) × 100.

Classes needed to reach a target % = (target% × total classes − 100 × classes attended) ÷ (100 − target%), assuming every future class from here on is attended.

Worked example: 62 attended out of 80 total, targeting 75%

  1. Current attendance = 62 ÷ 80 × 100 = 77.5%, already above the 75% target in this specific case.
  2. If instead only 55 of 80 had been attended (68.75%, below target), the classes-needed formula would calculate exactly how many additional classes attended in a row would be needed to climb back to 75%.
