How the pomodoro study planner works

One full cycle = focus block length + break length.

Number of complete pomodoros = floor(total study minutes ÷ cycle length), rounding down since a partial cycle at the end doesn't count as a complete pomodoro.

Worked example: 3 hours of study, 25-minute focus blocks, 5-minute breaks

  1. Cycle length = 25 + 5 = 30 minutes.
  2. Total minutes available = 3 × 60 = 180 minutes.
  3. Complete pomodoros = floor(180 ÷ 30) = 6 pomodoros.
  4. That's 6 × 25 = 150 minutes focused, and 6 × 5 = 30 minutes on breaks.
